The 2 Hounds Design adventure in custom dog products started when Alisha Navarro founded the company in 2003. Alisha needed an outlet for her creative energy and wanted to find that special martingale dog collar for her two retired racing Greyhounds.
To grow 2 Hounds Design, Alisha used the skills she acquired in earning bachelor degrees in Physics and Mathematics, as well as a masters degree in Applied Physics and a short career as a project manager at an engineering firm.
For 6 years, 2 Hounds Design built a loyal following of customers, catering to the large breeds, who are often under-represented in the designer dog collar market. 2 Hounds Design continues to be an industry leader, breaking outside of the norm in dog collar design - creating collars using silk brocades, hand loomed Laotian silks, and even a Scalamandre silk or two, all with attention to detail and structurally sound construction methods.
In 2009, Wiggles Wags and Whiskers and 2 Hounds Design joined forces to create the ultimate source for designer collars, leashes, and harnesses all in one place.
